Male Menopause

Testosterone gradually declines over time in all men. With declining testosterone levels, men typically notice a decrease in muscle mass and an increase in body fat. Decline in testosterone is often referred as andropause or male menopause.

Men should be careful about attributing symptoms to the decline in testosterone. If experiencing symptoms such as decrease in libido, energy, and muscle mass, lack of concentration, depression, weight gain or hair thinning, it is important to have testosterone levels checked.
